Online Contracting Instructions (Step by Step Guide)

Step 1: Click the blue link above.

Step 2: As a first time SuranceBay user with Summit Life Group you will need to click on “New User” to *register. It will ask your name, SSN, license number (etc) and you enter that info, then click “Add Me” which tells the system to pull your insurance licensing info from the NIPR (National Insurance Producer Registry) website. During the registration process, the SuranceBay system will email you to verify your information and you’ll click the link from the email to proceed.

NOTE: If you have ever had a prior SuranceBay account, please make sure you use a new and different password for your account with us.  Using the same email is okay. *Friendly tip: once registered SAVE YOUR LOGIN PASSWORD AS WE DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO IT

Step 3: Once logged into the SuranceBay site you will begin on the “My Info” section. Here you will find several “tabs” at the bottom of your screen, the goal is to turn those GREEN by completing the information on each page. Some of the tabs require you to upload documents such as a void check (for commissions), AML information, and E&O. If you don’t have the ability to upload, email them to me. Note that at the end of the process, on the “Scan” tab, the system wants you to use your mouse to create your signature. If you cannot do so, it does give you the option to print a form, sign inside the signature box, then upload that form to the scan tab.

Step 4: Once all the tabs are Green, you will see “Appointment Requests” appear on the top right of the screen. From the appointment requests section, the first thing you will authorize is working with us. This will satisfy our required forms such as direct deposit. Note that during the appointment request process you likely have to review a document in it’s entirety in order to get to the end of it and access the “confirm and apply my signature” box. From there, you can submit the request.

Step 5: Once the Summit Life Group request is authorized, you can go back to step 4 and request the carrier of your choice, one at a time. These will flow through to the “BGA” and will be in our queue until you have business to write OR until you notify us to process your appointment for a pre-appointment situation OR a RELEASE/TRANSFER situation. 

***PLEASE NOTE: MOST (NOT ALL, BUT MOST) OF OUR APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT PROCESSED WITHOUT BUSINESS. PLEASE NOTIFY US IF YOU HAVE BUSINESS FORTH-COMING SO WE CAN DETERMINE IF A PRE-APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED OR IF WE WILL APPOINT ONCE BUSINESS ARRIVES…  SLG WILL HELP YOU DETERMINE THE BEST CARRIERS TO APPOINT WITH FIRST.
