Rich:
Hey, so David, we just finished our conference call. We haven’t done a tabletop recording in a while, though we do them every morning. We get each other fired up, plan out our day, but just haven’t been recording them.
David:
That’s right.
Rich:
But we just wrapped up our conference call, and I’ve been reflecting on our theme for 2023, which was “Dominate.” I feel like we’ve really lived up to that, despite any challenges that came our way. I’m proud of our team, our staff, our agent partners—it’s been a great year. We’re even celebrating growth in December, having some of our biggest months during the holidays, which is awesome.
David:
Yeah, it’s been a fantastic year.
Rich:
Now, as we approach 2024, our new theme is “Thrive.” We want to help more agents than ever reach six figures. We’re fired up about thriving, but we also want to tackle what’s holding people back from achieving that level of success.
David:
Exactly. We want to thrive. We had a great year in 2023, and our motivator now is to break all the records we’ve set before. To do that, we need to help people move beyond being average. We want everyone to excel—to go from being top producers to being in the top 1%, the cream of the crop. Whether you’re new to the business or a seasoned agent, we want to ensure that you jump into the system and make more than you ever have before.
Rich:
Absolutely. It starts with a goal, followed by a plan and strategy, and then a commitment to execution. You need to keep the fuel in your body by deciding, “I don’t want to be average anymore.” That decision, followed by action and commitment, is crucial. We have the strategies and systems to help you get there. One of the things we talked about today is the importance of elimination. Reflecting on the past year, we should celebrate what we did well, but also identify what’s holding us back from moving forward.
David:
Yeah, when you have big goals, sometimes you have to eliminate things—even the good things that might be holding you back from achieving greatness. It’s crucial to recognize what you need to let go of if you want to level up. Every new level requires a sacrifice. Often, it’s a habit or a hobby that you need to let go of. For example, we were talking to a million-dollar producer who said that once he got his Sundays back—he used to be all about fantasy football—he started creating content, reading more, and added a book a week to his routine. That simple change leveled him up.
Rich:
Exactly. Small improvements every day can lead to massive growth. And sometimes, those improvements come from cutting things out of your life that aren’t adding value. Fantasy football might be fun, but is it helping you become better in business or in life? If you want to make six figures and haven’t done it before, there are a lot of things you can cut out that might be holding you back.
David:
Right. If you’ve never hit that six-figure mark, you have so much untapped potential. It’s all about the process of elimination and adding value to your life. If you cut out something that isn’t serving you and replace it with something that does, you’ll start seeing progress. I hear people say all the time that listening to a book isn’t the same as reading a book, and I agree. But if you’re not doing either, you’re not gaining any value. So start somewhere—listen to the book, read the book, just do something that adds value.
Rich:
We had a leadership meeting with some of our guys this week, and one of our agents, who’s had a great year, was reflecting on his experiences. He’d been volunteering as a coach, and while they made it to the state championship, he realized it cost him over $50,000 in potential earnings because it distracted him and caused him to lose momentum in the latter half of the year. So sometimes, you have to ask yourself, “What am I willing to give up to reach my goals?”
David:
Exactly. If you want to thrive in 2024, it’s about making sacrifices. You need a plan, you need to know where you’re going, how you’re going to achieve it, and what you need to cut out to get there. The enemy is average, and we’re going to take agents with us to the next level. But it requires paying the price.
Rich:
The enemy is average, so jump on board with us. Let’s make 2024 the best year we’ve ever had, and let’s all thrive together. Let’s get it!
